"Music is my complete obsession and has been for all of my life." TERRY VERNIXX started out in the rock-n-roll world in the late 1980's as the original drummer for the Dallas band, The Toadies. By 1991, he had moved to the West Coast, where he was seduced by House & Techno in the Portland Oregon rave scene. There he spent five years learning to produce as well as spin. Moving back to Texas, he then DJed at hundreds of warehouse gatherings, house parties, illegal events, and clubs in the Southwestern US from 1996-2001. Originally know as DJ STRETCHY, he started using his own name in 2002 when he moved to North Carolina. There, he quit gigging for five years to fully pursue electronic music production and composition. He was instantly recognized internationally with DJ playlistings as well as dance-radio airplay on BBC Radio One, Ministry of Sound Radio, Frisky, voNYC, as well as Sirius/XM. He won WRVU FM's Remixer Of The Year Award in 2006 & 2007. He briefly founded the digital electronic music label MOVER MUSIC in January of 2007. His internet radio program, HIGH DESERT RHYTHMS, started in July of 2008. It is still broadcast every Saturday night on as well as on every Wednesday evening. He works as A&R for the Deep Site Recordings family. Terry Vernixx is currently based in New Mexico.
