Dakin Auret sounds like: bouncing basslines, eerie synths, ghostly vocals, sleazy dubby house music. A rising new talent in the Deep House / Nu-Disco scene from South Africa, Dakin is someone to listen out for. In only his first year of releases he was showcased on a variety of labels the world over, and regularly features on Beatport's Top 100 Releases charts. After multiple EP's with Swiss label 'Oh So Coy', headed by Matt Prehn, Dakin broke into the UK scene in 2012 with the successful single 'Shameless' on SinQ Records and featured on Sleazy Deep's 'Future Sleaze 2', which hit #3 on the Beatport Deep House & Nu-Disco/Indi Dance release charts. Dakin's discography also includes EP's on TheSounds (Rom), Plus Plus (USA) and Gooseneck Records (USA) which made it to #39 on the Beatport Nu- Disco / Indi Dance Charts;as well as singles/remixes on Seta (Slov), Wasabi (Ger) & Triplefire Records (SA). Dakin has been remixed by the likes of Floyd Lavine (Lower East, Murmer) & Steve Banks (Nervous Records), and has done remixes for Dirty Culture (Salted Music, Soulman Music) & Alberto Ortega (Sleazy Deep, Nasty Funk) among others. As a DJ, Dakin has traveled South Africa playing at all the major venues alongside great names like The Wildkats, Johnny D, Emerson Todd, Alex Nagshineh, Terry Francis, Barem, Ralf Kollman, Pezzner, Floyd Lavine, Kingpin etc. Residencies include two of South Africa's mega clubs, 'Origin' and 'Sasha'.
