Mextape

Mextape is the alias of the Mexican-American DJ/Production Duo of Efrain Del Pardo and Juan Carlos Bolívar. More than just a play on words, the name pays homage to the duo's strong sense of nationality and more importantly to the intergal part that mix-tapes played in their early musical development. Originally collegiate friends, they were first brought together by their love for music in early 2006, shortly after which they decided to join their distinct musical tastes to bring about a more interesting fusion of electronic music. Their sounded can be described as multifaceted, combing aspects of Classic Chicago House, Deep House, and radical Acid House influences that make for a fresh musical take.
