Malik Faquir

In hopes of sharing sonic memories, as much as tales of complexity and purpose, Malik Faquir permits the world of music to engulf the substance of his daily motions. The prologue to this story of creative production has its placement in a Mozambican group known as K7s united, which later inspired the beginning of the artist’s role as the owner and curator to an underground label & sub-movement – Sala Estimulante (@salaestimulante). The artist may also be recognized through alter-egos such as sweetmun, MaIk xD, & No Rest for the Spacemen, which have also alternated since the very beginning. After eight years of steady practice and renement, it took a single year of focused perseverance to catalyse Faquir’s integration into the Johannesburg underground scene, giving him the chance to migrate
