Joey Musaphia

DJ and producer based in London and Owner of Refunkt Records. Joey left high school and attended the School Of Audio Engineering (SAE) in London from 1988 to 1989. Whilst studying he was DJ'ing at various bars and clubs as well as entering the DMC Mixing Championships in 1988 winning his local heats. Using free studio time given to him at SAE Joey starting finding vocalist and producing tracks, one of which was signed to Cooltempo, EMI by Simon Dunmore (now Defected / Glitterbox) under the guise Taste Of Paradise. Following this Joey began releasing tracks under various pseudonyms, one of which being his legendary Cover Ups EPs.
