Flipper

Growing up between Stockholm and Athens, Flipper was lucky to live in an Athenian neighborhood during the early 90s, which had a record store dedicated to hardcore and jungle. That’s where he stopped by after school to listen to the latest records. As a teenager he was interested in synthesizers and trackers, but his main focus was to spread the music he loved though DJing. It took more than two decades until he decided to spend his time strictly on producing. He aims to compose music with substance, orbiting around a solid breakbeat foundation. His sound has been influenced by jazz, dub/reggae, world music and the early sound of Drum & Bass from the 90s. He is fusing all that to create something that feels contemporary.
