Zech aka Zeka Basel was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1999. Considering himself a music enthusiast he was in the pursuit of discovering and listening to new sounds from early childhood. After moving to Glasgow (UK) for university he gained interest in the electronic music scene. He started DJing in 2018 in the local clubs in Glasgow and Nicosia, his home town. Experimenting with different genres of music he has taken a unique approach, mixing underground records that truly reflects his personal style during live sets. In his early 20s he started producing his own music, constantly pursuing for the sound that defines his vision.
