Rex Colter

Colorado native, Rex Colter is one of the most exciting up-and-coming producers on the Denver scene right now. Since he started producing in early 2012, he has becomes known for seamlessly combining a range of sounds into EDM that is as musically deep as it is readily danceable. Like Dirtyloud or The Chemical Brothers, Rex Colter’s music captures a primal human connection to rhythm but like the melodies of Dillon Francis, Rex Colter’s music has an edgy brightness to it. The influence of Seven Lions and Kill Paris are obvious in the sweeping use of rich vocal samples. Using FL Studio, Rex Colter uses masterful sound design and the strategic integration of silence and sound to create music that refuses to let you sit still.
