Species (RS)

Species is a psychedelic trance project from Belgrade Serbia, founded by Dj Aki - one of the leading representatives of the psychedelic trance scene in Serbia since 1997. The project has two phases. The 1st phase was back in 1998 when Aki met Eli, a computer genius interested in music software, analog, and virtual synths, but most of all, exploring the boundaries of psychedelic sound. Their instant chemistry resulted in the founding of the SPECIES project. After years of experimenting with different psychedelic styles, the project established a distinctive and recognizable, trademark “SPECIES” sound. This resulted in a series of singles released on various labels such as EtnicaNet, MP Records, 3D Vision, TechSafari, Ultra Groove rec, etc. Their debut album “Groove Don’t Come Easy” was released on EtnicaNet Records in 2004.
