His moniker might suggest that he keeps it strictly ‘old skool’ but far from that, Retro Jay takes the older sounds of early Electronic music and seamlessly blends it with the new. Born in Grenada, raised in Barbados, Retro Jay is a young DJ/Producer that is part of a rapidly emerging EDM scene in the Caribbean. He first gained recognition on the Essential Mix at Mix 96.9, working wit h t he legendary DJ Carlos back in 2007.Originally starting out with a love for Trance, he switched trains to the Techno, Tech House and Dubstep sounds.
