Pop On Acid

Pop On Acid is the brainchild of Rotterdam based DJ and producer Dirk Schmidt. Pop On Acid's interest in electronic music dates back to the early 90’s where the legendary Rotterdam club 'Parkzicht' and the upcoming 'Gabber' scene was evolving. As he aged his love for (hardcore) rave music grew into a more sophisticated sound that was triggered by producers like Solomun and Tensnake. Still, the influence of those early rave tracks he grew up with is very much part of his productions.Being friends with producer Boris Ross they joined forces in the studio and only as recently as 2009 Pop On Acid created his first EP 'Classick' which is basically a 'Dish And Tell' tribute.
