He is from Kitakyushu, known as one of the most dangerous cities in Japan, but in reality grenades are rarely thrown into the city's clubs. Despite having a wide range of musical tastes, he began to gravitate toward dance music in the 1990s. Around 2016, he started producing techno, which led to his signing with The Seed in 2018 under the name Centro. The name Centro, by the way, came about when he tried to create a Google account with his real name, Kentaro, and Google persistently asked, "Are you Centro?" So he gave up the idea of using his real name, Kentaro. Since then, he has been releasing on several national and international labels, mainly The Seed. Since 2021, he has been working under the name Modeous.
