Al Groove

Allen Wright Jr., aka dj al groove started learning how to dj at age 14 in spring of 1986. Since then he has dj'd at various clubs, raves, and house parties throughout Chicago and Grand Rapids, Michigan for over twenty years. He started producing at age 16, and in 1992 he produced and recorded to reel to reel his first series of tracks, but they were never released. Fast forward to 1998 when Allen Wright relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan and was introduced to Greg Rapier. This union led to their first recordings and record, “The Deep Rooted E.P." He has worked with longtime friend Jamal Moss aka Hieroglyphic Being/The Sun God, doing rare disco edits/remixes on their Members Only label, and also releasing tracks on Jamal Moss and Steve Poindexter’s
