Rebirth Records presents Rebirth Lab Vol.4, our EP series to introduce and give space to three up and coming producers, who debut on our label with three different tracks. The Volume 4 features Dave Aju, Perel and Nandu. San Francisco-bred now Berlin-based Mr Dave Aju has been making some of the most forward-thinking electronic music for the last 13 years. A diverse range of influences from jazz to hip-hop, from experimental post-rock to musique concrete can be heard in Ajus unique sound, always with a solid sense of rhythm owed to his roots as a dancer.Dave Aju released three full-length concept-driven albums on the Circus Company label, along with a string of solo releases on labels such as Music For Freaks and Matthew Herberts Accidental label. 'Morton Girl' is the perfect example of Aju's musical world, an experimental track that combines strong tech/break beats with Aju's non conventional vocals. Annegret Fiedler aka Perel first ventured into the realms of songwriting at the early age of eight, composing her first songs on her grandmothers piano. Soon after, she developed her craft as a formally trained singer and co-producer in several bands. Having relocated to Berlin, Perels extensive sets are informed by a lush and harmonically rich sound that can be heard in her own productions as well, seamlessly blending Disco and House with beltering Techno. She aims to take her crowd on an extensive trip with unforseen twists and open endings. Played to great reactions in the last few months, 'Cantuccini' is a simple but very effective track with 808 patterns and acid bassline that will drive crazy every dancefloor. Straight out of Copenhagen, Nandu combines melodies with the enormous worlds of grooves, creating a unique deep and refreshing sound. Not only aiming for the dance floor, but also inspiring the imagination, his soundscapes takes you from the south American beaches to the cold Nordic winters, from the deepest jungles to the coldest urban settings. 'See You' is a monster track featuring the haunting and sexy vocals of Vâlvâ. We will surely hear a lot about this next summer !
