Already receiving a pair of remixes from Ri Za and Uvo and Lautaro Varela, Yin :: Yang has paid tribute to Dousk and his iconic "Jit Jit" in impressive style. Now the 2014 track from the "Bisocial" EP receives a second outing courtesy of another pair of remixes from Tunisia and Russia.
Ewan Rill has created quite the recipe for success from his St. Petersburg base. An artist with almost a thousand production credits to his name, the Russian has continually shone brightly in the underground dance firmament. Thus, a plethora of renowned labels bear the Ewan Rill hallmark with over a double century featuring on Balkan Connection imprints. Stellar Fountain, Suffused Music and Stripped Digital have all played host to the trademark Ewan Rill sound in a career on a continually upward trajectory. Furthermore, the August 2016, "Give Me Dark" EP for Soundteller exposed a deep, pulsating progressive offering that provided an exciting new chapter in Ewan Rill's career. Debuting on Yang, Rill's remix of "Jit Jit" bears all the hallmarks of this strong tech-infused sound as a cavernous bass line rips through the lower frequencies and heavyweight rhythmic patterns build effortlessly combined with the melodic themes of Dousk's original. Evolving to their zenith mid-point, the chunky rhythms, vocal cuts and chopped up melodies then play out in the third and fourth movements to fine effect.
