"If anyone thought that techno was dead, they just need to take a good look at Atypical Farm's recent releases. Continuing with the same line of straight up techno, the Farm welcomes two artists who have built an excellent reputation internationally as well as in their local scenes, Holland's Roger Valdez, and Spain's Pablo Akaros.
Atypical Farm's newest love affair with techno involves “Drugz”, not the prescription kind or the ones found in a dark alley or after hours club, but the ones delivered by Roger Valdez's new powerful track. “Drugz” is guaranteed to induce crazy dance moves even on those who prefer to stand by the bar, drink in one hand moving nothing but the tip of one foot. After his latest EP “$.e.x”, remixed by techno great Secret Cinema, Roger makes his debut on Atypical Farm scorching the dancefloor with this track. People are already comparing it to a modern Audion-like sound with the punch and chemistry of Audion's mid 90's productions.
Pablo Akaros, is undoubtedly, one of Spain's more well-loved artists. His productions on Karmarouge, Meerestief, Multi Vitamins, Sounderground or Intoxic, have not gone unnoticed, and least of all in Germany , where he is most popular. His work, constant and relentless, arrives on Atypical Farm in the form of “Comenzhar”. This track is well structured, and evolves nicely from start to end. Stripped down, techno, that gains body and form as it progresses, finishing with a bang."
