TANAKA AKIRA was born in Takayama, Gifu. About in 1995, He started his music career by the influence of YMO and detroit techno. His music style was changed to electronic sound with lyricism. He has succeeded that created an image like comfortable sense of speed and newly ordinariness. In 2002, he released 1st album NEW TOWN from Japanese/French joint label CROSS. It received high praise from many music media. In 2003, he joined a CROSS's compilation album READAPT with Yoshihiro Hanno, Illreme, and Riow Arai. And he joined Sony Music's compilation album with Yumiko Ohno (Buffalo Daughter), Pianika Maeda, and Kazufumi Kodama. But, he took a break from the music scene for a long time.
