Sir Gawain’s journey starts back in 1998 where life as he knew it changed, frequent clubber to nights at the Tall Tree’s in Yarm and SugarShack Theatre in Middlesbrough and avid Festival goer, Sir Gawain listened to almost every single “Big Name DJ” from Erick Morillo, to Sasha & Digweed & Carl Cox, these being his biggest inspirations.In 1999 Sir Gawain acquired his 1st set of Technic 1210 mk2’s and a Chrome plated Vestax PMC17a Mixer. Trance was the flavour of the day and still holds Jonny Shaker’s - Pearl River as one of his all time best Tracks.Initially playing at Local DJ Competitions, he quickly went on to play at Local Bars & Nightclubs.Overtime Sir Gawain’s musical tastes and as he honed his DJ abilities and with the changing times in Music during the early 2000’s Sir Gawain started to build a name for himself as a Progressive House DJ.A regional record shop owner and promoter picked up Sir Gawain and he quickly played on all his promoted nights in the Region and his journeys took him as far as Glasgow as a Resident at the 3 Floor Archaos Nightclub.Sir Gawain also took his hand to promoting his own Monthly Night called “Sound Of The Underground”.During 2003-04 Sir Gawain started to develop his Producing Skills and frequently travelled to Sheffield Studio’s (Home of Choo Choo Records) and learned to Produce EDM with the guidance from D.Rameriez.After a break away, he is back with a bang, has Launched the Independent Music Label GNE Music and has worked on Remixes of SynthCity and Released his debut track LightSource with plenty of Solo & Remix work in the Pipeline.As well as Producing New Material, Sir Gawain is also the host of “We Are Progressive - WAP Sessions” Podcast (Prev RAW In The Mix), where he brings the latest releases to the masses in a continuous mix show/podcast.Sir Gawain, through the Label is now working with various New, Up and Coming artists as well as some Established Producers and 2018 and Beyond should be a Years to Remember!
