Rocco Bene is an Australian rock/pop/electro singer/songwriter.Early in his career Rocco was signed to a local production company at age 15 for artist development. This included working with American producer/songwriter Tommy Faragher.At age 19 Rocco won the Kyle & Jackie O’s Hot 30 Teen Star Competition (2DAY FM radio station) in Australia, as a member of the duo called Gemini. In 2001 Gemini was signed to Warner Music for a single release titled “How do you know” written by Tommy Faragher. Gemini toured nationally as a support act to Australian band Human Nature.Rocco took a break from the music industry and in 2012 came back to his love of dance/pop/rock music, writing songs influenced by the change and experiences.“Thunder” was the first result of his return and the lead track from a new EP due for release later this year. “Thunder” has been remixed by a number of DJs including Award winning Australian DJ Ivan Gough. Rocco continues to write music for his 2014 EP release.Recently Rocco has teamed up with various DJs and producers worldwide experimenting with different styles and sounds. The new track release “Fuck the past” is the result of collaboration with DJ Dejan Manojlovic (Deyman) and Aleksandar Stanić from Sebia. Despite being opposite sides of the globe the team formed a fresh musical chemistry which has led to a number of tracks for future releases.Rocco and his band are performing live at various venues in Australia and continue to do so to promote his music.
