Phortah

The aural work of Phortah combines down tempo and ambient ingredients to create musical journeys of rened depth. Phortah’s debut album “Olua” is the rst LP release by Heimlich Musik. The concept album courses a transformative evening, punctuated by a myriad of broken beats and straight four to the oor grooves. Organic performances of strings, vocals, utes and percussion are presented in combination with analogue and digital synthesis. Phortah’s sound is at once nostalgic and gritty, featuring also eld recordings and noise. Incorporating live elements onstage such as synthesisers, guitar and vocals, Phortah’s stage show journeys between entrancing ambient textures and pulsing grooves, inviting audiences into deep, far out places.
