Since being introduced to the electronic music scene around the change of the millennium, Meeko has grown a true passion for a wide variety of electronic music. Some of Meeko’s biggest influences are: The Chemical Brothers, John Digweed, Dirty Bird, Drumcode, Maetrik, Thievery Corporation, Sable Sheep, Reset Robot, Christopher Lawrence, Morcheeba, and Joris Voorn. The experience of watching and listening to musical artists perform live is what attracted Meeko to the scene even further, so around 2004, he purchased his first set of turntables and began to learn the basics of DJing. Since then, his musical tastes and performing techniques have evolved, but he still remains true to his roots while staying open-eared to the sounds of the future.
