Horizontal Excursions

Horizontal Excursions is the psychedelic electronic music project by sound artist Roger Martinez. With this project Martinez aims to musically translate elevated states of mind experienced through the use of sacred medicines.HE's first self-released album was hailed by popular Ambient blog ‘A Strangely Isolated Place’ as: "one of 2011's best and is quite simply, a must for any fan of drifting, atmospheric ambient".HE’s latest album ‘Higher States’ seems to be moving more to the cusp between Ambient and dance oriented music, combining rhythmic melodic elements with drifting harmonic structures. It is an album where the inspiration came from the dance floor as well as from the mountaintops and the higher states of mind traversed by the author himself.
