ANDRÈ THORWIRTH. He started his DJ career in his hometown of Suhl, which, as the district capital of the former East Germany (DDR), was the hottest disco and club hub in the region at the time. It wasn't surprising that André found himself behind a mixing console and operating cassette decks for the first time at the young age of 14 in the school disco. He quickly developed a liking for making people dance to his musical tunes and soon became the "resident DJ" of his school.
